Shae was born in 1971, in Manhattan, New York. After graduating from Perri's High School and briefly attending college, Shae dropped out and joined the US Army. In 1990 he was deployed to the Middle East for Operation Desert Shield/Storm. In 1991, Shae moved to South Florida, where his life started to take a downward spiral. In 1992, Shae was incarcerated with live life sentences. In 2007 Shae experienced a paradigm shift. Embracing his spirituality and fully committed to change, Shae began to help others as a teacher as well as himself. He now serves as a mentor and GED teacher to short sentence offenders with the goal of changing their lives and reducing recidivism.
